Covid-19 pandemic outburst situation

Distribution of food packets:

  • A total of 1050 persons of different Gram Panchayats (GP) viz. Naity GP, Baksha GP, Chanditala GP, under Chanditala Block-II & Chanditala Assembly constitution, and Begampur GP, Panchghara GP, Kapashariyan GP Under Chanditala Block-II & Singur Assembly constitution were benefited by Agnikalpa by distributed food packets 3 times each for 10 days interval for the first 40 days of lockdown.
  • The food packets were comprising of Rice-2kg +Dal-300gm + Oil-250ml + Potato-1kg + Egg-5pcs or Soyabeen-200gm + salt-100gm.
  • Whenever any requirement was heard team Agnikalpa responded at the earliest and serve the persons with food.

 

Distribution of Vegetable:

  • After a certain time, the rationing system is running smoothly and the common people are getting enough from the Govt. Then we shifted from rice base foods to vegetables & other commodities.
  • Around 500 persons got vegetables from our end in 10 days intervals for the total lockdown period.

Free Shopping for vegetables (Bina paisar hat):

  • A marketplace (rural bazaar/hat) was organized free of cost for the common people of the locality.
  • 16 types of essential commodities were available in the said market viz. Vegetables (12 types), Biscuits, Soap, Hand sanitizer & Mask.
  • Around 600 people came and marketed all the items of their own desired quantity according to their requirements.

Donation to relief fund:

  • To stand beside the State Govt. we donated Rs 20,000/- to the West Bengal State emergency relief fund.
  • This donation was made in two phases, Rs.10,000/- in each phase.
  • AGNIKALPA also raised funds of around 3 lacs from several persons & organizations by cheques & deposited the e same to the account of the West Bengal State emergency relief fund at ICICI bank.

Blood Donation Camp:

  • To combat the crisis of blood in this pandemic outburst, We have arranged 7 nos of blood donation camps in the entire lockdown period.
  • A total of 245 persons donated their blood.
  • We also guided several organizations/clubs to arrange Blood donation camps in their locality.
  • There are several blood donation camps in line in the month of June & July.

Blood transfusion for Thalassemia patients:

  • Due to the Covid-19 pandemic constrain and Govt. restrictions normal blood donation camps are suspended/canceled cause the Blood banks are dry. The majority of Govt. hospitals are Covid-19 designated and moreover, the thalassemia patients have very poor immunity power, and the transportation to Kolkata hospitals frequently in this situation was troublesome. 
  • To overcome the shortage of blood, we have arranged 7 nos. Of blood donation camp within the first 45 days of lockdown where 245 nos. Of donors donated blood. 
  • To save the thalassemia patients we have successfully transfused blood to 187 nos. Of children free of cost with the help of Village health care nursing home. 
  • We are committed to continuing this service throughout the year to the poor and needy families to save their children.

Home delivery of medicine:

  • During the lockdown period Govt. advised the senior citizens to stay at home if there is a need to and also other persons to follow the guidelines. 
  • In this situation, to make the success of the campaign “Stay home stay safe”, we took the responsibility to render our service door to door wherever there is a need for essential commodities viz. Medicines, babies, foodstuff, etc.
  • To reach the people we also started a helpline number for the need of home delivery.
  • Medicines and baby foods were delivered to the concerned person/ home free of cost or with the fees for buying the same, which is applicable on case to case basis. 
  • Whenever there is a shortage of supply of medicines in the local market, the same was arranged from Kolkata for cancer, heart, and other serious patients.

Sanitization by spraying disinfectant:

  • We sanitized the locality, public places, and other Govt. places also viz, Police stations, police outposts, and Police booths at regular intervals with Sodium hypochlorite solution as per the guideline.

Sarathi

Distribution of 20 numbers of cycle vans to needy persons.

Adhikar

Around 3000 beneficiaries hot their adhikar by accepting blankets, saree, and mosquito nets, according to their requirements.
